Connect Claude to SEOMentor
Claude can read your real SEOMentor data — scores, Search Console clicks, GA4 traffic — and answer questions about it directly, instead of you copying numbers into the chat. This takes about a minute, no code involved.
Before you start
- A SEOMentor account with at least one completed scan
- Claude.ai (web) or the Claude desktop app, any plan that supports Connectors
Connect in 3 steps
Open Claude's Connector settings
In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors, then click "Add custom connector."
Paste SEOMentor's MCP URL
Enter this as the server URL, then save.

Claude opens a sign-in and consent screen. Log into SEOMentor and approve — this is a standard OAuth screen, the same kind you'd see connecting any two accounts.
Try it once connected
Ask these, word for word or close to it — Claude calls SEOMentor's MCP tools behind the scenes and answers using your real account data.
You ask:
“Which of my pages get a lot of impressions in Search Console but almost no clicks?”
Example of what comes back:
Claude calls get_gsc_performance for your site, then compares impressions against clicks per page — flagging pages with high impressions and a CTR well below your account average as the ones worth a better title or meta description.
You ask:
“Has my SEO score improved since my last scan?”
Example of what comes back:
Claude calls compare_scans, which returns your score history for that site, then tells you directly whether it's trending up, down, or flat, and by how many points.
You ask:
“What's the single biggest thing hurting my mobile speed score right now?”
Example of what comes back:
Claude pulls your latest scan via get_scan_results, reads the Core Web Vitals and speed opportunities in it, and points to whichever one has the largest estimated impact.
What Claude can and can't do
Every tool on SEOMentor's MCP server is read-only. Claude can pull your scan results, Search Console and Analytics data, and score history — it can't start a new scan, change a setting, or touch billing. The connection uses OAuth, so you approve it once on a consent screen and can revoke it anytime from SEOMentor settings or from Claude itself.
Troubleshooting
Claude says the connector failed to add
Double-check the URL has no trailing space and starts with https://. If it still fails, sign out of SEOMentor in another tab and retry — a stale session can interrupt the OAuth handoff.
Claude connected but says it has no data
The server only returns data for sites you've actually scanned in SEOMentor. Run a scan first, then ask again.
It's asking me to sign in every time
That usually means the OAuth token isn't persisting — try removing the connector and adding it again, and make sure cookies aren't blocked for seomentor.io in your browser.
Disconnect anytime
- —In Claude: Settings → Connectors → remove SEOMentor.
- —In SEOMentor: Settings → Connected Apps → revoke Claude's access.
- —Either one immediately cuts off access — you don't need to do both.
FAQ
Does this cost anything?
No. The MCP connector is free on every SEOMentor plan, including free. What data it can return depends on what your plan already gives you access to inside SEOMentor.
Can Claude change anything in my SEOMentor account?
No. Every tool the server exposes is read-only — nothing can start a scan, edit a site, or touch billing.
Does Claude need my Google login?
No. It reads the Search Console/Analytics data already connected inside SEOMentor — your Google account stays connected to SEOMentor only, not to Claude.
